The Hype!

Everywhere you look around these days the prominent color is green. Every status update on social media networks has the word green in it. What is this hype all about you ask..........well Pakistan made it into the semis of the Cricket World Cup 2011, hell yeah!
As we stand just 2 days aways from the ultimate battle of the titans, the two major champs of the Asian region (India and Pakistan), the emotions are running high along with non stop arguments and rounds of predictions in the tv lounges of every household. No matter what the age or interest maybe, people are unable to withdraw themselves form the cricket mania which has grasped the world and refuses to let go. However whereas we are surrounded by over emotional people, it is also a pleasant sight to witness people united for one cause (the ultimate victory) and supporting the nation's color. I guess we all needed this change to divert our thoughts from the gloomy scenario with the country's political and economic situation. For once we get to focus on us as a nation and not as individuals.
But the truth is that as we all prepare for March 30 to witness the rise of a champ, we should also remember that our cricket team has given us something to be proud of. For all those cricket lovers who had lost hope in the team's performance after the recent happenings, have now another reason to revert back to the game they love so much. The cricket junoon is again back at its peaks. And our boys have done a commendable job at proving that no matter how bad things get, we can still turn it all around and be victorious at the end. Truly their performance throughout has been nothing short of brilliant and they have given us a new hope.
Well in the spirit of my country I cannot just stand on the sidewalk and observe the hype, I'd rather be a part of this moment where history has already been made with the Australian loss at the hands of the Pakistani team. Hoping to see another one of these moments, all that I can say at this point is..................GO GREEN!!!!
